摘要
藏传佛教后弘期,西藏本土翻译家接续前弘期的译经事业,且以更大规模译介佛学经典,巴蔡·尼玛扎便是其中的代表人物之一。他的译著不仅是了解这段翻译史的重要线索,也是探究后弘前期般若中观思想在西藏实现本土化、中国化的逻辑起点。文章从诠释学的视角,结合各类文献资料,对巴氏所译文本的类别、特点及跋文等作了“翻译考古”式的梳理和考察。研究表明:首先,巴蔡共译42部显密经典,根据所译文本体量显示出其“重中观、倾应成”的翻译旨趣;其次,他对龙树、提婆及月称所著中观经典的翻译会特别采取“译校”“译订”或“订校”两道工序;再者,基于《明句论》修订鲁氏所译《中论》,即知其宗旨所归为应成见,自此拉开了藏传佛教般若中观思想从“自续”转向“应成”的序幕;最后,借由翻译进一步推动了般若中观思想在西藏实现本土化、中国化的历史进程。
At the beginning of the later diffusion of Tibetan Buddhism,in addition to translating Buddhist texts,local translators introduced Buddhist texts to a greater extent,Pa-tshab Nyi-ma-grags was one of the representative figures.Thus,his translations may serve as a key clue to understand this translation history as well as a logical starting point for exploring the localization of Prajna Madhyamika thought in Xizang.The purpose of this article is to analyze and interpret the overall characteristics and specific postscripts of Pa-tshab’s translation from a hermeneutical perspective along with various documents.According to research,firstly,Pa-tshab translated 42 Buddhist texts and based on the number of translated texts,he was especially interested in translating Prasa n gika texts.In addition,he applied the two processes of"translation and proofreading","translation and revision"or revision"to the works of Nāgārjuna,Aryadeva and Candrakīrti.Furthermore,he revised the early version of Mūlamadhyamakakārikābased on the Prasannapadā.It not only reflects his thinking belongd to Prasangika,but also turned the Tibetan Buddhist Praj?a Madhyamaka thought from"Svātantrika"to"Prasangika".Finally,Pa-tshab promoted the historical process of developing Praj?a Madhyamika thought in Xizang in the Chinese context.
