摘要
数字化转型为企业实现高质量发展提供了新动能,这能否使企业的创新得到实质性提升?本文基于A股上市公司2010~2021年制造业公司样本,使用爬虫技术搜集整理企业年报中“数字化转型”相关词频,实证分析了数字化转型对企业创新质量的影响效应及其作用机制。研究发现:总体上看,企业数字化转型不仅能够普遍促进制造业企业一般性创新方面的提升,同时对实质性创新也具备正向激励作用;异质性分析方面,相较于中部地区、大规模、国有性质的企业,东西部地区、中小规模和非国有性质的企业实施数字化转型更能够实现创新的“提质增量”,而基于知识产权保护水平地区的异质性分析结果差异并不明显;机制研究结果表明,数字化转型能够通过降低债务融资成本及增加研发投入强度促进企业的一般性创新和突破性创新。研究结论在经Heckman两阶段、PSM、替换变量以及剔除新冠疫情影响下的特殊样本等一系列内生性和稳健性检验后仍然成立。本文揭示了数字化转型对制造业企业创新的影响机理,为数字经济与实体经济融合效果提供了微观证据,对数字化赋能企业高质量发展提供重要启示。
It is found that digital transformation provides new driving forces for enterprises'high-quality development,whether it can make the quality of innovation be substantially improved is worth exploring.In a sample of the A-share listed companies during 2010 to 2021,we empirical analyze how digital transformation influences quality of enterprises'technological innovation and variation across samples basing on the keywords of digital transformation which extracted from annual reports by Python.Generally,the empirical results show that digital transformation can not only improve general innovation of manufacture enterprises,but also has positive incentives on radical innovation.Then,according to the heterogeneity tests,enterprises located in eastern and western China,middle and small scale enterprises,and non-state-owned enterprises that make transitions can get greater innovation quality enhancement than those in central China,with large scale and state-owned;heteroge-neous effects between areas with different level of patent protection are not obvious.The intermediate mechanism indicates digital transformation promotes technological innovation by reducing debt financing cost and increasing R&D expenditures of enterprises.The validity of conclusions are further verified by a series of robustness tests.This study revealed the impact of digital transformation upon the quality of manufacture enterprises'technological innovation and the mechanism,thus provided new micro evidence for digital economy promoting high-quality development.
