摘要
"薛"與"散"相通,"薛越"兩字俱釋爲"散"。"谿"與"蹇"相通,"綦谿"兩字俱釋爲"蹇","綦谿"由"蹣跚"一系叠韻聯綿詞)寫、重構而來。"胥靡"之"胥"通馬絆之"■","靡"通牛靷之"縻"。"皋牢"之"皋"通作《説文》"牛馬牢"之"牿",又因漢隸形近而轉寫爲"宰牢"。從詞源的角度看,聯綿詞多由同義複詞演化而來,可以拆分、倒寫或重組。但在發展過程中,聯綿詞上下兩字往往趨於"形旁同化"或"音讀同化"。歷經轉寫、轉讀的聯綿詞越來越難以使用複合詞的方法加以解析,讀者不得不將聯綿詞上下兩字視作單一個體,並通過上下文推敲詞義。這樣一來,聯綿詞便逐步趨近於單純詞。
Xuē薛is the interchangeable word of sǎn散,xuēyuè薛越also means散or“disperse”.xī谿is the interchangeable word of jiǎn蹇,and qírī綦谿means jiǎn蹇or staggering forward.qíxī綦谿may be reconstructed from a series of alliterative words written by pan shan蹒跚(staggering forward).xū胥of the criminal-laborers xu mi胥靡is the interchangeable word of xū■,which means to trip a horse’s rope;mi靡is the interchangeable word of mí縻,which means to lead a cow’s rope.The word gao皋of gao Lao皋牢is the interchangeable meaning a fence for cattle and horses.In the official script of Han Dynasty,gao皋is similar to zai宰,so it was also written as zǎi Láo宰牢.From the etymological point of view,most alliterative words are mostly derived from synonyms and can be split,reversed or recombined.However,in the process of development,the upper and lower characters of the alliterative words tend to be“form-side assimilation”or“phonological assimilation”,and the alliterative words after transliteration and re-reading are more and more difficult to be analyzed from the perspective of compound words.Ancient exegeticians also tend to regard the two characters of lianmian as a individual,which makes lianmian possess many characteristics of single morpheme.
