摘要
本文主要研究了余华长篇小说《兄弟》中文学性的英译情况。文章主要分为三个部分:第一部分为引言,论述了文学性的概念及其在《兄弟》中的具体体现;第二部分分别研究了《兄弟》英译本对成语和俗语的翻译处理,认为译者主要采取了意译和直译相结合的方法,偶尔也采用省译的方法;第三部分为文章的结论,认为从译者采用的翻译方法的主次可以了解的译者的良苦用心,希望能够向读者传递尽可能准确的语言信息,而文化信息则只能做到尽量保留。其次,译者会考虑英文和中文语言表达习惯的差异。
This paper mainly studies Yu Hua’s long novel Xiong Di and the translation of its literariness.It can be divided into three parts.The first part is the introduction which gives the definition of the literariness and its embodiments in Xiong Di;the second part studies the translation of idioms and proverbs in Xiong Di,and finds that the translators mainly use the literal and liberal translation methods as well as omission translation method sometimes;the last part is the conclusion,and believe that the translators use different methods to be faithful to the original at first,and try to maintain its linguistic meaning as well as the cultural meaning.Moreover,the translators will make some modifications during their translation based on the differences between the two languages.
