Nowadays, the aging of China's population is deepening, which has made the cultural tourism consumption market for the elderly expand. Therefore,we are supposed to explore ways to make the cultural tourism industry more suitable for the elderly. There were two research approaches in our study:on the one hand, based on the system dynamics,we constructed the evolution model of the cultural tourism industry under the background of population aging from the supply side, and predicted the effects of different practical solutions with Chongqing as a case;on the other hand,we used semir structured interview method to explore the transformation strategy of the elderly-friendly cultural tourism industry from the demand side.In summary, the results of this study showed that:the driving force of the cultural tourism industry serving the elderly mainly comes from the government-led transportation facilities, public security system, medical and social security, etc. At the same time, private enterprises need to work with other subjects to build a supply system of characteristic products which are suitable for the elderly from three levels including individual(health),group(participation)and family(security),so as to make the elderly-friendly cultural tourism industry an important fulcrum to actively deal with China's aging population and promote the economic growth.
