摘要
德布雷媒介学主要关注文化及其观念的传承。在20世纪后半叶的社会科学研究的后现代认识论“历史先验”中,德布雷媒介学明显地具有“物质性转向”特征。在德布雷媒介学视角下,传承不再是单独媒介的媒介化结果,而是由人(组织机构)和非人元素(技术支撑)搭建的中介化网络促成的;媒介本体也不再是具有本质性特征的大众媒介,而是呈现出关系性质特征。媒介学需要在关系层面上来研究传承中不同能动元素的中介化作用,以内动的视角来观察中介化所实现的文化传承,认为传承是人和非人元素互动的结果,不同能动元素有必要遵循非战斗性的生态学伦理,而且作为中介化历史分期的“媒介域”成了界定其中元素身份和意义的参照。德布雷媒介学从文化传承的视角为“物质性转向”研究提供了一个范例。
Regis Debray’s mediology is mainly concerned with the transmission of the culture and its ideas.In the historical a priori of post-modernist epistemology in social sciences in the second half of the 20century,Debray’s mediology has been obviously tinted by the“turn of materiality”.In his mediological perspective,the cultural transmission is not simply the result of mediatization but the product of human and non-human actors or agents which set up a relational network of mediation:the ontic entities of medium are not the specific mass media with their own substances but are characterized by discursive-material relations in which both identities and meaning could be defined and determined.And it is necessary to investigate the mediating functions of agents of different nature,from the angle of intra-action to study the cultural transmission realized by mediations,and to indicate that the dynamics of agents should respect the mediological ethics,a kind of non-militant ecological ethics.Debray’s mediology proposes an alternative way to demonstrate the materiality turn in the domain of cultural heritage transmission.
