摘要
关联理论提出了两个至关重要的原则:认知原则和交际原则。在关联理论的两大原则下,译者在翻译时需要帮助读者快速找到最佳关联,达到更好的语境效果,使目的语读者更好地理解原文。文章基于译者的译著——《The Lover’s Calendar》的译本《凡尘中相爱的每一刻时光》,结合斯波伯和威尔逊的关联理论及其学生格特的关联翻译理论,对翻译时采用的一些方法和技巧进行了研究。《The Lover’s Calendar》是英国作家哈维洛克·艾利斯夫人于1912年编辑出版,全书汇集366首来自百余位诗人的诗歌。
Relevance theory proposes two vital principles about the role of relevance in cognition and in communication.Under the two principles of relevance theory,the translator needs to help readers quickly find the optimal relevance to achieve better contextual effect,and make the target language readers better understand the original text.Based on this author’s translation project—《The Lover’s Calendar》,the thesis tries to explore methods and skills used in translation in the light of Relevance Theory.Edited and published by Mrs.Havelock Ellis,a British writer,in 1912,《The Lover’s Calendar》consists of 366 poems from more than one hundred poets.Examples for discussion were all chosen from translation of this book.
