摘要
在英汉比较研究中,形合与意合是个关键议题。英语注重形式结构统一,而汉语更看重意义融合,为国内外学者广泛接受并达成共识。美国翻译家兼鲁迅研究大师威廉·莱尔的鲁迅小说英译本迄今为止收获了广泛认可。此篇文章选取了《狂人日记》及莱尔译本为案例,深入探讨英文的形合特性以及中文的意合特质,同时提出了针对汉英互译中形合和意合的翻译方法,旨在为汉英翻译的研究提供理论支持。
In the comparative study between Britain and China,the study of hypotaxis and parataxis is a key issue.English pays attention to the unity of form and structure,while Chinese attaches more importance to the integration of meaning,which is widely accepted and reached consensus by scholars at home and abroad.American translator and master of Lu Xun studies William Lyell’s English translation of Lu Xun’s novel has so far been widely recognized.This article selects the Diary of a Madman and Lyell’s translation as cases to explore the characteristics of English and the characteristics of Chinese,and puts forward the translation method of form and harmony between Chinese and English translation,aiming to provide theoretical support for the research of Chinese-English translation.
