摘要
共同的民族文化渊源能够铸就共同的文化认同感,减少交流中的障碍,增强彼此间的信任,能促进国家间经济合作。本文基于2006—2017年我国商业银行在东盟的直接投资数据,研究同源民族文化对我国银行业对外直接投资的影响。研究表明,同源民族文化对我国商业银行对外直接投资具有促进作用,而东道国金融市场开放会弱化影响。因此,我国商业银行对外投资的区位选择应高度关注文化因素和金融市场开放程度。
Common ethnic cultural origins can create a sense of united cultural identity,reduce communicative barriers,enhance mutual trust,and promote economic cooperation among disparate nations.Based on the direct investment data of China’s commercial banks in ASEAN from 2006 to 2017,this paper studies the impact of homologous ethnic culture on China’s foreign direct investment in the banking industry.Studies have shown that homologous ethnic culture can promote foreign direct investment into commercial Chinese banks,and the more open the financial market of the host country,the weaker the impact.Therefore,China’s commercial banks should carefully consider location,as locational factors in culture homology and financial openness can exert an important impact on foreign investment levels.
