摘要
自贾萨诺夫开始,科学技术被正式纳入“社会想象”的轨道。作为一种集体持有的未来愿景,“社会技术想象”(SIs)广泛存在于当代社会文化规范之中,它编码了“通过科技可以实现什么”的愿景以及“人类应该如何生活”的准则;而将“想象”纳入STS/ANT的谱系进行讨论,构成了SIs迥异于其他各类“想象”的理论命题。更进一步,SIs与ANT“转译”概念的结合可用以展示多种技术想象“如何通过稳定的网络而变得强大”的网络化过程。在全球数字传播技术的想象网络中,“发展与自由”的想象经由本土化“转译”,串联起“本地”与“全球”的数字实践;“连接与分享”的想象转译了人类对于数字媒介逻辑的共同理解方式,由此将数字平台建设塑造为走向未来的“强制通行点”。然而这种数字想象背后暗藏的是数字“殖民”的冲动,随着SIs走向商品化,用户亦在不断开启的“新想象”中走向反思性批判。
At Jasanoff’s beginning,science and technology were formally incorporated into the orbit of“social imagination”.As a collectively held vision of the future,“Sociotechnical Imaginaries”(SIs)exists widely in contemporary sociology-cultural norms,encoding visions of what can be achieved through technology and norms of how humans should live;Actor-Network Theory(ANT)with their attention to the“non-human actors”assigned to the SIs different from other kinds of the unique attributes of“Imaginary”,the combination of both can be used to display a variety of techniques to imagine“how to be powerful in a stable network”in the translation process,which constitute the developing theory of STS’s unique proposition.In the“Imaginaries-network”of global digital transmission technology,imaginaries of“development and freedom”connect“local”and“global”practice through the localization of“translation”.While imaginaries of“connection and sharing”translate the common understanding of the logic of digital media,shaping the digital platform construction as the Obligatory Passage Points of future.However,behind this kind of digital imagination lies the impulse of digital“colonization”.With the commercialization of SIs,users are also turning to reflective criticism in the constantly opened“new imagination”.
