摘要
《吴宓日记》具有鲜明的真实性和隐私性特征,其旨在备遗忘、录时事、志感想、发议论、存诗作。1949年中华人民共和国成立之后的《吴宓日记续编》自然也延续了这一文体特征,但在另一方面,《日记续编》却出现了记录内容、记叙态度、目的和功能的潜在变化。这一变化便是超越一己之情感生活,开始自觉地关注与记录知识分子群体的精神和处境,具有明确的存史意识,表现了"降志辱身"后的情感宣泄,体现出"发愤著述"的生命抗争,而与此相关的是吴宓对其日记、年谱、文稿等整理保存的苦心孤诣,其中也寄寓着他对中国文化贞下起元的深切期待。
Wu Mi’s Diary features distinct authenticity and privacy,and aims to remind the diarist,record events,express comments and preserve verses.The Sequel of Wu Mi’s Diary naturally follows these stylistic features after the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949.On the other hand,The Sequel of Diary focuses more on the potential changes of narration,attitude,purpose and function.These changes transcend his own emotional situation.He consciously recorded the spiritual state and living of intellectuals,demonstrated the consciousness of preserving history,expressed emotional catharsis after the spiritual and physical humiliation,and reflected his intention of keeping diaries as a spiritual struggle.Related to these changes are Wu Mi’s intentions in collating his diaries,chronicles and manuscripts,which also embody his expectation of the revival of Chinese culture.
