摘要
汪廷讷环翠堂刊印的书籍,以附有精美的版画插图,而为学界瞩目,但由于长期以来,版画书籍及其生产流程研究的不足,对于汪氏刻书的意图与功能,缺乏确切的定位。在习见的论述中,环翠堂都被看作商业印刷和"徽派"版画的代表,这一论断塑造了对于晚明坊刻的某种固化认识。事实上,汪廷讷对于版画印本的功能,有着相当个人化的考量。本文尝试透过汪氏出版的3部版画印本,并结合晚明社会的图像消费现象,考察木刻版画在16世纪书籍中的存在及使用状况。
Books printed by Wang Tingne’s Huancui Hall are widely acclaimed by academic circles for their exquisite illustrations made with engraving printing art technique.However,due to the absence of study on printed books and corresponding production procedure,there is a lack of accurate positioning for the intention and function of Wang’s printed copies.It is com monly regarded that Huancui Hall represents com mercial printing and An hui characteristics printing,resulting a stereotype on commercial printing in the late Ming Dynasty.In fact,Wang Tingne had personal considerations for the functions of printed copies.The paper try to examine the existence and wood engravings in 16th century book industry through the combination of the image consumption phenomenon of the late Ming society and Wang’s three print editions.
