Model Construction for Teaching Academic Writing in English

摘要 本着以学习者为中心、以目标语境为背景、以专业知识为依托、以输出为驱动的原则,本文提出了分阶段的学术英语写作教学,即通用学术英语写作阶段和专门用途学术英语写作阶段的教学,并针对两个阶段构建了切实可行的写作教学模式。在通用学术英语写作阶段,提出了"输入性阅读+思辨能力+通用学术英语写作技能"的"三步走"模式。在专门用途学术英语写作阶段,教学要向纵深发展,提出了"体裁认知+专业文献翻译+专门用途学术英语写作技能"的"三步走"教学模式。最后针对教师如何统筹好两个阶段的学术英语写作教学和提升跨学科学术英语写作执教能力提出建议。 In accordance with the learner-centered,target-context,content-based and output-driven principle,this paper puts forward the two-staged teaching of English writing for academic purposes,one being English writing for general academic purpose(EGAP)and the other English writing for specific academic purpose(ESAP)and the teaching model specific to each stage has been proposed.At the EGAP level,the author puts forward the"three-step"model,including"the input of reading+critical thinking+EGAP writing skills",and at the ESAP level,teaching and learning shall be developed further,hence another"three-step"model has been proposed,including"cognitive constructs of genres+translation of professional literature+ESAP writing skills",to successfully achieve the output of academic writing in English.Eventually,recommendations have been offered for teachers to improve their capability of bringing the two stages together to teach academic writing in English more effectively in the interdisciplinary context.
