The effect of resonant cavity structure on the performance operation of In As/Ga As quantum ring intersubband photodetector is studied for detection of terahertz radiations range.In order to confinement of optical field w ithin active region and consequently enhancement in responsivity of device,tw o periods of Al2O3/Ga As distributed bragg reflectors are used as bottom dielectric mirror and a thin layer of Au material as top mirror of device.For further improvement in detectivity,Al0.3Ga0.7As/In0.3Ga0.7As resonant tunneling barriers are included in absorption layers to reduce dark current of device.Proposed photodetector show s a peak responsivity of about 0.4(A/W)and quantum efficiency of 1.2%at the w avelength of 80μm(3.75 THz).Furthermore,specific detectivity(D*)of device is calculated and results are compared to conventional quantum ring inter-subband photodetector.Results predict a D*of^1011(cm.Hz1/2/W)for device at T=80 K and V=0.4 V w hich is tw o orders of magnitude higher than that of conventional QRIPs. 展开更多

The configuration of the proposed inverter is well designed in order to ... An advanced configuration for multilevel voltage source converters is proposed. The proposed converter is able to apply asymmetrical DC sources. The configuration of the proposed inverter is well designed in order to provide the maximum number of voltage levels in output terminals using lower number of circuit devices. The authority of the proposed inverter versus the conventional H-bridge cascaded inverter and the most recently introduced ones, is verified with a provided comparison study. The proposed inverter is able to generate the desired voltage levels using a lower number of circuit devices including power semi-conductor switches, IGBTs, diodes, related gate driver circuits of switches and DC voltage sources. As a result, the total cost and installation area are considerably reduced and the control scheme gets simpler. To confirm the feasibility of the proposed multilevel structure, both the simulation and experimental results are provided and compared which shows good agreements. 展开更多

Stabilization of a class of nonlinear discrete time systems with time varying delay

The stability and stabilization of a class of nonlinear discrete time delayed systems(NDTDS) with time-varying delay and norm-bounded nonlinearity are investigated. Based on discrete time Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional method, a sufficient delaydependent condition for asymptotic stability of nonlinear systems is offered. Then, this condition is used to design a new efficient delayed state feedback controller(DSFC) for stabilization of such systems. These conditions are in the linear matrix inequality(LMI) framework. Illustrative examples confirm the improvement of the proposed approach over the similar cases. Furthermore, the obtained stability and stabilization conditions will be extended to uncertain discrete time delayed systems(UDTDS) with polytopic parameter uncertainties and also with norm-bounded parameter uncertainties. 展开更多

A supervised multimanifold method with locality preserving for face recognition using single sample per person 被引量:3

Although real-world experiences show that preparing one image per person is more convenient, most of the appearance-based face recognition methods degrade or fail to work if there is only a single sample per person(SSPP). In this work, we introduce a novel supervised learning method called supervised locality preserving multimanifold(SLPMM) for face recognition with SSPP. In SLPMM, two graphs: within-manifold graph and between-manifold graph are made to represent the information inside every manifold and the information among different manifolds, respectively. SLPMM simultaneously maximizes the between-manifold scatter and minimizes the within-manifold scatter which leads to discriminant space by adopting locality preserving projection(LPP) concept. Experimental results on two widely used face databases FERET and AR face database are presented to prove the efficacy of the proposed approach. 展开更多
