Firstly, a mathematical model of spiral bevel and hypoid gears with circular blade profile was established according to the cutting characteristics of the duplex helical method. Based on a hypoid gear drive, the tooth bearings and the functions of transmission errors of four design cases were analyzed respectively by the use of the tooth contact analysis(TCA), and the contact stresses of the four design cases were analyzed and compared using simulation software. Finally, the curvature radius of the circular profile blade was optimized. The results show that the contact stresses are availably reduced, and the areas of edge contact and severe contact stresses can be avoided by selecting appropriate circular blade profile. In addition, the convex and concave sides are separately modified by the use of different curvature radii of inside and outside blades, which can increase the flexibility of the duplex helical method.展开更多

The results show that the initial cracks can be categorized as wing crack, axial tensile crack and curved tensile crack. The failure modes of ligaments can be categorized as mode of single inclined crack, mode of single axial crack and mode of two parallel cracks. The final failure modes of all specimens can be categorized as the tension-shear mixed failure and shear failure. The strength of inclusions shows little influence on the final failure modes of specimens, while the failure modes vary with L and α. When α is a fixed value, the peak strength σc and elastic modulus Ec of tested specimens increase firstly with increasing L and reaches to the maximum value at L of 16 mm, then declines. When L is a fixed value, σc declines firstly and then turns to increase as α increases to 75° from 45°, while Ec increases linearly. The axial stress σp performs the similar variation trends with those of σc versus increasing L and α when ligaments fail.展开更多

In this work, a numerical study was undertaken on the failure behavior around a circular opening in a rock mass having non-persistent open joints using PFC software package. A parallel-bond stress corrosion(PSC) approach was incorporated to drive the failure of rock mass around the circular opening, such that the whole progressive failure process after excavation was reproduced. Based on the determined micro parameters for intact material and joint segments, the failure process around the circular opening agrees very well with that obtained through laboratory experiment. A subsequent parametric study was then carried out to look into the influence of lateral pressure coefficient, joint dip angle and joint persistency on the failure pattern and crack evolution of the rock mass around the circular opening. Three failure patterns identified are step path failure, planar failure and rotation failure depending on the lateral pressure coefficient. Moreover, the increment of joint dip angle and joint persistency aggravates the rock mass failure around the opening. This study offers guideline on stability estimation of underground excavations.展开更多

For the circu...The coherence is a measure for the accuracy of the interferometric phase, and the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) inter- ferometric coherence is affected by several sources of the decor- relation noise. For the circular SAR (CSAR) imaging geometry, the system response function is in the form of the Bessel function which brings a high sidelobe, and the high sidelobe of CSAR will be an important factor influencing the interferometric coherence. The effect of the high sidelobe on the coherence is analyzed and deduced. Based on the interferometric characteristics of the slight difference in the viewing angles and the potential pixel off- set in the interferometric SAR (InSAR) images, a relation between the radar impulse response and the coherence loss function is derived. From the relational model, the coherence loss function due to the high sidelobe of CSAR is then deduced, and compared with that of the conventional SAR. It is shown that the high sidelobe of CSAR focusing signal will severely affect the baseline decorre- lation and coregistration decorrelation. Simulation results confirm the theoretical analysis and quantitatively show the baseline and coregistration decorrelation degradation due to the high sidelobes of CSAR.展开更多

文摘A novel spiral non-circular bevel gear that could be applied to variable-speed driving in intersecting axes was proposed by combining the design principles of non-circular bevel gears and the manufacturing principles of face-milling spiral bevel gears.Unlike straight non-circular bevel gears, spiral non-circular bevel gears have numerous advantages, such as a high contact ratio, high intensity, good dynamic performance, and an adjustable contact region. In addition, while manufacturing straight non-circular bevel gears is difficult, spiral non-circular bevel gears can be efficiently and precisely fabricated with a 6-axis bevel gear cutting machine.First, the generating principles of spiral non-circular bevel gears were introduced.Next,a mathematical model, including a generating tooth profile, tooth spiral, pressure angle, and generated tooth profile for this gear type was established. Then the precision of the model was verified by a tooth contact analysis using FEA,and the contact patterns and stress distributions of the spiral non-circular bevel gears were investigated.

文摘The coherence is a measure for the accuracy of the interferometric phase, and the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) inter- ferometric coherence is affected by several sources of the decor- relation noise. Simulation results confirm the theoretical analysis and quantitatively show the baseline and coregistration decorrelation degradation due to the high sidelobes of CSAR.
