These new cata- lysts are highly active and stereospecific in combination with an external donor for the polymerization of propylene. The activity of these catalysts is dramatically influenced by the electronic capability of the phenyl substituents on the sulfonyl phenylamines. Therefore, the performances of the catalysts can be modified by adjusting the electronic property of the phenyl substituents of the sulfonyl phenylamines.展开更多

The commercial codes HYSYS supply the physical property package on over 1500 pure substances and over 16 000 binary coefficients for them. This work has briefly presented an efficient communication interface based on the Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) between inner plate heat exchanger simulation codes and the HYSYS package. The application of a custom-made HYSYS-COM interface has shown high efficiency, such as significant reduction of time needed for evaluating each process stream's properties. This automation method can be conveniently extended to further optimization study for any specific operation device such as heat transfers, columns, and other facilities.展开更多

After successful laboratory study this technology had been applied in commercial scale successfully. Compared to traditional caustic wash of distillate oils, this technology has a lot of merits, such as the broad range of distillates to be processed, low caustic consumption, recycle of deacidifying agent, absence of waste caustic discharge, and low equipment revamp expenses, which can have promising perspectives for exploitation and application of this technology.展开更多

The results of commercial application of the catalyst have revealed that the catalyst after pretreatment including drying, sulfidation and reduction can process VGO into base oils meeting the HVI II and HVI II+ standards, and can manufacture base oils meeting the HVI III standard after incorporating the filtrate oil or gatch from acetone-benzene solvent dewaxing unit. The nitrogen content of the feed oil to the IDW reactor should be controlled at 1.0—1.5 ppm, while the CO and CO2 contents in fresh hydrogen is strictly controlled to avoid poisoning of the IDW-HDF catalysts.展开更多

In laboratory the de-ethylating type catalyst for xylene isomerization was subjected to steam treatment at different temperatures and durations to achieve dealumination of the ZSM-5 zeolite to some extent, which could affect the change in BrФnsted acid content to decrease xylene loss along with reduction of side reactions. Test results showed that the degree for reducing side reactions by steam treatment depended upon two important parameters-treating temperature and duration. The optimal condition required treating the catalyst at 500℃ for 8 hours.展开更多

Various systematic management techniques have been developed to improve the efficiency of refinery hydrogen networks. However, existing methods all treat the hydrogen network separately. The tradeoff between hydrogen network cost and oil processing network benefit has not been explored in the hydrogen network management yet. A novel sensitivity analysis scheme is presented to take oil processing network into consideration. Oil processing unit which is sensitive to both oil processing networks and hydrogen networks is identified first. Then, sensitivity analysis of the unit around the operating point of oil processing networks and hydrogen networks is carried out. Finally, the overall optimal operating condition is obtained. An example of a real Chinese refinery demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed analysis method.展开更多

The diesel sample was separated into the saturate and aromatic fractions by means of solid-phase extraction (SPE), and each fraction was analyzed by GC/FID-EIMS. According to the relationship between boiling point and retention time of n-paraffins in the chromatogram, the percentages of saturates and aromatics at each temperature interval were calculated. According to the average mass spectra of the saturate and aromatic fractions at each temperature interval, the hydrocarbon types of the sample were identified through summation of characteristic mass fragments. Using this method, the changes in composition of diesel during hydrotreating process were studied. The results showed that hydrogenation of aromatics is the main reaction during the hydrotreating process. The more rings the aromatics have, the easier the hydrogenation reactions would take place. The aromatics were converted into cycloparaffins via the hydrogenation and saturation process, leading to an increase in low boiling point fractions in the hydrotreated oil.展开更多

The crude oil extracted from Sudanese oil block No. 6contains as high as 13 mg KOH/g of crude in addition to a calcium content of 1600 ppm. This article makes an analysis on problems related with the operation of commercial delayed coking unit for processing of highly sour crude and bring forth measures to solve these problems. The liquid yield resulted from coking of crude oil can reach 82m%, and the petroleum coke can meet the quality requirement for class 3B petroleum coke.展开更多

Catalytic cracking experiments on co-processing of methanol and heavy oil at different ratios in a fixed fluidized bed reactor had been conducted. Test results have revealed that when 12.5% of methanol was blended to the heavy oil a good products distribution and relatively higher yield of low-carbon olefins could be obtained. The overall yield of low-carbon olefins could reach 50.16%, with the yield of ethylene, propylene and butylene equating to 5.47 %, 28.93% and 15.76 %, respectively.展开更多

The RICP technology can stimulate residue hydrotreating reactions through utilization of HCO along with an in- creased yield of FCC light distillate, resulting in enhanced petroleum utilization and economic benefits of the refinery.展开更多

The model is also verified by using commercial data, the results of which showed that the model can better predict the product yields and their quality, with the relative errors between the main products of the unit and commercial data being less than five percent. Furthermore, the combined model is used to predict and optimize the operating conditions for gasoline riser and heavy oil riser in FDFCC. So this paper can offer some guidance for the processing of FDFCC and is instructive to model research and development of such multi-reactor process and combined process.展开更多

The influence of three crude processing cases, including the case for processing of crude slate blended with Tahe medium gravity crude, the case for separate processing and storing of individual crude oils, and the case for flash distillation of Tahe medium gravity crude coupled with separated processing of crude oils, on the products quality, stability of production operation and the overall techno-economic parameters was investigated. The study results have shown that the case for processing crude slate blended with Tahe medium gravity crude could lead to deterioration of the FCC products distribution, dramatic reduction of light distillates, significant surge of sulfur content in FCC naphtha, and increased specific consumption of FCC catalyst, indicating that this case was obviously not suited for processing the Tahe medium gravity crude. The case for separate processing and storing of individual crude oils, however, could increase the aggregate salable products ratio, but the frequent switchover of process streams could cause difficulty and hazards to the stabilization of refining operations, which could not be an ideal processing case. The case for flash distillation of Tahe medium gravity crude coupled with separate processing of crude oils featured the simplicity of process scheme, easiness for modification of process units, easy operation and a slight increase in the aggregate salable products ratio, making itself a suitable case for processing the Tahe medium gravity crude.展开更多
