The interface defeat phenomenon always occurs when a long-rod projectile impacting on the ceramic target with certain velocity,i.e.,the projectile is forced to flow radially on the surface of ceramic plates for a peri...The interface defeat phenomenon always occurs when a long-rod projectile impacting on the ceramic target with certain velocity,i.e.,the projectile is forced to flow radially on the surface of ceramic plates for a period of time without significant penetration.Interface defeat has a direct effect upon the ballistic performance of the armor piercing projectile,which is studied numerically and theoretically at present.Firstly,by modeling the projectiles and ceramic targets with the SPH(Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics)particles and Lagrange finite elements,the systematic numerical simulations on interface defeat are performed with the commercial finite element program AUTODYN.Three different responses,i.e.,complete interface defeat,dwell and direct penetration,are reproduced in different types of ceramic targets(bare,buffered,radially confined and oblique).Furthermore,by adopting the validated numerical algorithms,constitutive models and the corresponding material parameters,the influences of projectile(material,diameter,nose shape),constitutive models of ceramic(JH-1 and JH-2 models),buffer and cover plate(thickness,constraints,material),as well as the prestress acted on the target(radial and hydrostatic) on the interface defeat(transition velocity and dwell time) are syste matically investigated.Finally,based on the energy conservation approach and taking the strain rate effect of ceramic material into account,a modified model for predicting the upper limit of transition velocity is proposed and validated.The present work and derived conclusions can provide helpful reference for the design and optimization of both the long-rod projectile and ceramic armor.展开更多

This paper presents a combination of experimental and numerical investigations on the dynamic response of scaling cabin structures under internal blast loading.The purpose of this study is to modify the similar relati...This paper presents a combination of experimental and numerical investigations on the dynamic response of scaling cabin structures under internal blast loading.The purpose of this study is to modify the similar relationship between the scaled-down model and the prototype of the cabin structures under internal blast loading.According to the Hopkinson’s scaling law,three sets of cabin structure models with different scaling factors combined with different explosive masses were designed for the experimental study.The dynamic deformation process of the models was recorded by a three-dimensional digital imaging correlation(DIC)method and a 3D scanning technology was used to reconstruct the deformation modes of the specimen.In addition,a finite element model was developed for the modification of the scaling law.The experimental results showed that the final deflection-to-thickness ratio was increased with the increase of the model size despite of the similar trend of their deformation processes.The reason for this inconsistency was discussed based on the traditional scaling law and a modified formula considering of the effects of size and strain-rate was provided.展开更多

Objective According to the report from American Heart Association(AHA),cardiovascular diseases(CVDs)are the leading causes of death globally,and coronary artery disease(CAD),known as coronary atherosclerotic plaques,a...Objective According to the report from American Heart Association(AHA),cardiovascular diseases(CVDs)are the leading causes of death globally,and coronary artery disease(CAD),known as coronary atherosclerotic plaques,accounts for over 30%of cardiovascular diseases.Therefore,it is of great clinical significance to study the relationship between coronary bifurcations morphometrical feature change and coronary artery disease.Although coronary atherosclerosis has been extensively investigated,there is a lack of in-deep study on the differences in morphometric features between optimal and realistic geometry of coronary arterial trees.The purpose of the present paper is to determine the morphological changes in patients with CAD lesion compared with non-coronary artery disease(non-CAD)subjects.Methods Due to the difficulty of studying the coronary bifurcations in vivo,image-based in vitro anatomical 3D models have been widely used as a noninvasive method for morphometric measurement and clinical diagnosis of the coronary bifurcations.With the development of coronary computed tomography angiography(CTA)hardware and software technologies,the CTA imaging technique has been shown a promising application in the characterization,visualization,and identification of coronary artery disease in recent decades.The CTA images used to reconstruct three-dimensional(3D)coronary arterial trees are from Asia populations(Southern Chinese populations),including five cadavers without CAD lesion and 102 patients with CAD lesion.The best fit artery diameter was calculated as twice the average radius between the points in the centerlines and the points on the coronary arterial inner wall.The bifurcation angles between larger daughter artery and smaller daughter artery were determined by the intersection angle of their centerlines.Murray’s law was introduced to assess the deviation of the realistic vascular networks from its optimal state.Results Based on the morphometric analysis of coronary artery bifurcations in non-CAD subjects and patients with CAD lesion subjects,the most important finding is that morphological feature parameters of non-CAD subjects are closer to the optimal values than those of patients with CAD lesion.Moreover,by comparing the morphometric data between the left and right coronary arteries,the right coronary artery exhibits a structure closer to the optimal one in morphological feature than the left coronary artery.In addition,coronary arterial trees with CAD lesion have higher asymmetry and larger area expansion ratio(AER)than those of the coronary arterial trees without CAD lesion.Conclusions We morphologically found that the coronary arterial trees with CAD lesion and left are more likely to deviate from the optimal structure predicted by Murray’s law than those without CAD lesion and right.The degree to which coronary arterial system deviating from their optimal state may directly affect the incidence of coronary artery disease.This computer morpho-logical analysis strategy is illustrated to be effective in the distinguishing of the geometric differences between the healthy and diseased coronary arteries,and the analysis method may have a large potential in cardiovascular disease earlier diagnosis.展开更多

Shlesinger (1998) first proposed that corpus-based interpreting studies(CIS) should be regarded as an offshoot of corpus-based translation studies (CTS).In China, owing to the development and compilation of interpreti...Shlesinger (1998) first proposed that corpus-based interpreting studies(CIS) should be regarded as an offshoot of corpus-based translation studies (CTS).In China, owing to the development and compilation of interpreting corpora, CIShas gained momentum since 2007. To review the past achievements in this regard,the present paper first summarizes four readily compiled interpreting corpora. Then,based on the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CKNI), it conducts thestatistics mainly on relevant published papers in Chinese Social Science and Index(CSSCI) journals. Next, it pinpoints a bibliometric analysis on the data by taking intoaccount three parameters, namely, H index, reference citation and their distribution.Then, it makes a detailed review and comments on the background of CIS and itsparadigm, theoretical interpretation of CIS and the research areas of CIS, standardsof developing interpreting corpora and solutions to difficulties in compilation ofinterpreting corpora, research orientations including topics and objects. At present,although CIS have attained preliminary findings and conclusions, it has mainly reliedon the theoretical and analytical frameworks of Systemic Functional Grammar andits utility in CIS, given the fact that it has introduced few interdisciplinary studies.As a result, CIS do not take full advantage of the paradigm of corpus linguistics norexplore into such research topics as features of interpretation, interpreters’ identitiesand interpreting styles. Finally, regarding future studies, the paper proposes that CISshould foreground the relevance of improving the mechanism of interpreting corpuscompilation in order to gain ground in new research methods and perspectives.展开更多

Only oxygen was used as a reaction gas during deposition, the Cr-O thin film, must have high adhesion and low outgassing rate. The scratch test shows that the critical load, for an applicable Cr-O thin film deposited in oxygen atmosphere alone at a pressure of 8×10<sup>-1</sup> Pa, was as high as 6kg.展开更多
