摘要
《无声告白》是美国华裔伍绮诗耗时六年写就的长篇处女作。小说记录了主人公詹姆斯一家的生活故事,而故事的背后隐藏着全家人无法言说的创伤经历。本文拟从创伤理论出发,以心理创伤和文化创伤角度分析小说中主人公华裔教授詹姆斯的创伤经历、产生原因,进而揭示叙述创伤和反思过去对于亚裔美国男性治疗创伤和身份主体建构的重要意义。
“Everything I Never Told You” is the first long work of Chinese American writer Celeste Ng, which took six years to write. The novel records the life story of the protagonist James’s family and behind the story lies the trauma experience that the whole family can’t express. From the perspective of trauma theory, this paper analyzes the trauma experience and causes of James, the protagonist of the novel, from the perspective of psychological trauma and cultural trauma, and then reveals the significance of describing trauma and reflecting on the past for Asian American men to treat trauma and construct identity subject.
