摘要
唐初,朝野上下就已开始注意对宽容的褒扬。处理家庭内部关系,唐代皇帝往往注意能宽容外姓人,不偏袒自己的骨肉。即使对敌视者,也不是睚眦必报。唐代官员这种宽容沉着,还与其善良而富有同情心结合。将某一官员品行予以肯定、定论式概括,也每多用稳重宽容这一标准。唐人还经常将人稳重宽容性情的提倡,作为"上行下效"人格品评价值标准。
The beginning of the Tang Dynasty sees the extensive tendency of compliments of composure and tolerance. Even the emperors of the Tang show their tolerance and equality for people from both their own and other clans, even including their opposed. This tendency to tolerate and compose always combines with the officials' goodness and sympathy for the grassroots, for which officials are often highly praised. In effect, tolerance and composure serves as a crucial criterion of evaluation of both the officials, and the grassroots. It thus helps with the social civilization to a great extent.
