Virtual Instrument is a kind of instrument using relevant hardware and software to simulate actual instrument. It is more opening,cheaper and easier to use compared with traditional instrument.It has been widely used in all kinds of industries. This paper first analyzes the significance of ActiveX control parts in development of virtual instrument. And then, describes VI based ActiveX control development and its application to LabVIEW and Visual C++. Finally, the feasibility and practicability of ActiveX control parts in the process of developing VI is discussed.
