摘要
本文设计了一种高增益高效率Ka波段圆极化径向线缝隙天线(RLSA)。利用短路探针从中心馈电使径向波导工作于径向TEM模;在上方金属层上蚀刻螺旋排布的圆极化缝隙对阵列实现圆极化辐射,调节缝隙耦合强度使口径场分布均匀实现高增益。为降低设计复杂度,提出阵列简化模型,并结合MATLAB和VBscript语言实现RLSA阵列在HFSS软件中自动建模,大大提高优化设计的效率。最终设计出中心频率为35GHz的左旋圆极化阵列,增益为30.61dBic,交叉极化为-40.07dB,口径效率约56.4%,辐射效率约73.4%,3dB增益带宽为7.7%,带宽内回波损耗小于-20dB,轴比优于0.5dB。该天线性能优良,具有广阔的应用前景。
A circularly polarized(CP) radial line slot antenna(RLSA) with high gain and high efficiency is designed at Ka band in this paper. The radial waveguide is feed through a short-circuit coaxial-probe form the center to excite the radial TEM mode. A spiral array of CP slot-pairs is etched on the top metal-layer of the waveguide to achieve the CP radiation. A uniform aperture field distribution for high gain is achieved by controlling the coupling strength of the slots. Furthermore, a simplified model of slot array is proposed to reduce the design complexity. A auto-modeling method is proposed in HFSS-software environment by combining the MATLAB and VBscript languages. Therefore, the efficiency of the optimized design can be obviously improved. Finally, a left-hand CP antenna array has been designed at a center frequency of 35 GHz. A gain of 30.61 dBic is achieved with a cross polarization of -40.07 dB. The corresponding aperture efficiency and radiation efficiency are 56.4% and 73.4%, respectively. The 3dB-gain bandwidth is 7.7%, within which the return loss is less than-20 dB and the axial-ratio is better than 0.5dB. The antenna has good performance and wide application prospects.
