外语教育中文化教育的重要性毋庸置疑，但文化教育不能简单地理解为目的语文化的导入，本族语文化的教育也应包括其中。目的语文化和本族语文化的兼容并举可以通过多种途径和手段来实现。
The necessity and importance of cultural education in FLT is quite beyond doubt, but it should not be simply viewed as the cultural introduction of the target language. The cultural education of mother tongue should not be neglected. The integration of foreign culture and native culture into FLT can resort to various approaches and strategies.
