摘要
数字图书馆的信息对象以网络为存在基础 ,具有海量性和异构性。针对这些特性 ,文章在分析标记语言 SGML、 HTML的优缺点及 XML的优势的基础上 ,选择 XML作为数字图书馆信息组织的技术。举例说明 XML 在数字图书馆元数据描述中的具体应用。文章最后指出 XML
The information object of digital library regards network as to exist foundation.It has the features of sea deal and not the same structure.Aiming at these characteristics,the paper analyses the advantages and disadvantages of SGML,HTML and XML,and chooses XML as information organization technology of digital library.Illustrates with example that XML'S concrete application in metadata description.Finally,the paper points out the vast usage foreground of XML giving itself vast development space.The paper involves the concepts of metadata,Dublin Core,RDF.
