In this article, vase medium and α LPE reagent spraying were used to keep Gerbera jamesonii fresh.The optimal comentrations of vase medium and sucrose were selected,the fresh weight and respiring rate were examined.The result suggested that vase medium could evidently prolong the vase life of cut Gerbera jamesonii for as long as five days,while α LPE couldn′t apparently.
