Synthesis of 4-Arylidene-2-phenyloxazol-5-ones under Ultrasonic Irradiation

摘要 Eight 4-arylidene-2-phenyloxazol-5-ones were synthesized by reaction of aromatic aldehydes and hippuric acid under ultrasonic irradiation in the absence of catalyst. The reaction was completed in 30~ 40 min in high yield. The structures of the products were characterized by IR and 1H NMR.
