摘要
从认知工效学的角度出发,本文对单行窗口显示条件下的汉语文本阅读进行了一系列研究.研究涉及的显示方式包括跳动引导式、平滑滚动引导式和快速系列视觉呈现式(RSVP)等3种,显示参数包括窗口大小、显示速度、跳动步幅、词切分、字间距以及显示速度控制方式等.研究结果表明在单行窗口条件下,影响阅读绩效的主要参数是显示速度、窗口大小、跳动步幅(仅在跳动引导式中)和字间距.与英文不同,本文发现汉语阅读时词步幅未能使阅读绩效提高,且字间距的增大会引起跳动引导式阅读绩效的下降.在呈现方式上,平滑滚动引导式在阅读绩效上高于RSVP,且易于被人接受.在控制方式上,自控速度方式的阅读效率低于机控速度方式,但被试者偏爱的显示速度略低于阅读效率最高的显示速度.汉语动态文本的认知加工比静态文本更为复杂,所以应对汉语文本阅读的特征和规律深入研究.研究所得各参数对于相关产品的界面设计具有参照价值.
In order to offer some ergonomic parameters for Chinese user interface designing, a series of experiments were developed within the framework of human factors to study Chinese script readability in single line VDT windows. The present study investigated the effects of 5 display factors (i.e. display window size (DWS), display rate (DR), step length (SL), word splitting (WS), character space (CS), and display rate controlling methods) on reading efficiency in three different display formats (jumping leading format (JLF), gliding leading format (GLF), and rapid serial visual display (RSVP)). The results showed that DR, DWS, and SL (only if in JLF) had the greatest influence on reading performance. Word step, however, did not enhance reading performance. The increase of character space led to worse performance. In addition, it was found that JLF worked better than RSVP, and was more readily accepted by the subjects. An investigation into the effects of display rate controlling methods revealed that the subjects performed worse in self paced reading than in computer controlled reading, and that the preferred display rate was slower than the optimal display rate. The present findings suggested that the cognitive processing of Chinese dynamic script reading was more complex than Chinese static script reading, and therefore deserved further investigation.
