摘要
中世纪的艺术内涵与表现形式一直以来都是各界学者们讨论的焦点,宗教与政权的结合促成了新的艺术形态,神学融进社会结构成为了宗教文化意识形态的根基。这期间的艺术内容都根源于《圣经》,而形式趋于象征性表达。艺术内容与形式的限制使中世纪作品一度蒙上"黑暗"的面纱,但是根源自古希腊古罗马艺术的中世纪艺术实际上融合了东方美术的特性并吸纳了多种地域艺术形式,从而发展出独特的艺术体系。形式与内容的限制促使中世纪艺术孕育出神性的色彩观念与艺术家独特的制作手法,金黄、黄色作为基督教文化"神性特征"在中世纪艺术作品中被大量的运用。从绘画中的金黄背景到教堂彩窗折射出的黄色光芒,黄色元素的运用无疑是中世纪艺术的一大重点,它反映出整个艺术体系的时代侧重点与精神内涵,这点在中世纪东拜占庭帝国艺术体系中尤其明显。
The artistic connotation and manifestation in the Middle Ages are the focus of discussions among scholars from all circles.The combination of religion and power has contributed to the new formation of artistic form,and the integration of theology into social structure has become the foundation of religious and cultural ideology.During this period,the contents of art was rooted in theBible stories and the form tended to be symbolically expressed.The limitations on the contents and forms of art enveloped the medieval works into a veil of darkness,but the medieval art of ancient Greek and Roman actually merged the characteristics of Oriental fine art,learnt from various regional arts and developed a unique art system.The restrictions on forms and contents facilitated the production of divine color ideas and artists' unique creation approaches out of medieval art.Golden and yellow,which were taken as the divinity characteristics of Christian culture,were widely employed,from golden background in apainting to yellow light reflected from a stained window of a church.The application of yellow element is undoubtedly a major means of medieval art,which reflects the emphasis of the age and spiritual connotation of the whole art system,there is especially evident in the art system of Eastern Byzantine Empire during the Middle Ages.
