摘要
翻译的一个主要目的是能够正确传达原文意思,追求不同文化之间的和谐互融。然而,各民族在历史发展历程中形成了各具特色的文化;这些文化差异会给译者带来困难,致使在跨文化翻译信息传递中造成某种程度的文化缺失。首先简述了翻译和文化之间的关系;然后从三个方面阐释了导致文化缺失的原因;最后从翻译实践角度提出了一些相关补偿策略。
A major purpose of translation is to correctly transfer the meaning,pursuing the harmonious coexistence of differ-ent cultures. However,each culture has its uniqueness with its own development,which possibly poses difficulty to translators and leads into the Cultural default during the process of information transmission. This paper at first briefly analyzes the rela-tionship between culture and translation;then discusses the causes of Cultural default from three aspects;finally proposes some appropriate compensation strategies from the perspective of translation practice.
