摘要
在静止图像编码方法中 ,最著名且应用最广泛的就算是JPEG了 ,JPEG中所用到的主要技术就是离散余弦变换 (DCT)和Huffman熵编码 ;在最新的视频图像压缩标准MPEG - 4中 ,对于静止图像和纹理的编码 ,都放弃了DCT变换而代之以离散小波变换 (DWT)。JPEG2 0 0 0中也同样的以DWT取代了DCT。本文比较JPEG和MPEG - 4所分别编码的图像 ,并具体说明MPEG - 4中静止图像的编码过程。最后得出DWT变换相对于DCT变换的优势结论。
Of coding methods about still image,JPEG is widely used and has had a good effect,in which the main technologies is DCT transform and Huffman entropy coding.But in latest international video compression standard such as MPEG-4 and JPEG2000,DCT transform is replaced by DWT transform.In this paper,firstly we'll compare DWT's advantage with DCT,then we'll show the course of still image coding in MPEG-4,finally we'll receive conclusion by comparing the images coded by JPEG and MPEG-4.
