摘要
本文基于沪深A股上市企业数据优化了企业出口产品质量的测度方法,并对照世界知识产权组织(WIPO)的国际专利分类绿色清单得到绿色技术创新指标,在此基础上探讨了绿色技术创新对企业出口产品质量的影响效应。研究发现,绿色技术创新对企业出口产品质量具有显著的提升作用。从绿色技术创新的类型看,绿色实用新型技术创新对企业出口产品质量的提升作用较为显著,而绿色发明技术创新对企业出口产品质量的提升作用并未体现。从行业的污染、耗能属性看,绿色实用新型技术创新显著提升了低污染、低耗能行业的企业出口产品质量,但并未提升高污染、高耗能行业的企业出口产品质量。本文的研究结论为推动我国向绿色创新型经济增长模式转变,实现贸易高质量发展提供了重要依据。
Amid escalating external pressures and mounting internal challenges,enhancement of export product quality has become the key to bolstering China’s international trade competitiveness.With the promotion of green development concept,green technology innovation is increasingly recognized as a new driving force for improving export product quality.However,existing literature rarely explores the enterprise export product quality from the perspective of green technology innovation.This study aims to fill this gap by thoroughly examining the impact of green technology innovation on enterprise export product quality,and provide valuable insights to enhance China’s competitive edge in international trade and promote high-quality trade development.Based on data from Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies,matched across the Chinese Patent Database,the Chinese Customs Trade Statistics Database,the China Stock Market&Accounting Research Database,and the Wind Database,this study refines the methodology for measuring enterprise export product quality and constructs a green technology innovation index based on the World Intellectual Property Organization’s International Patent Classification Green Inventory.Furthermore,fixed-effects model is employed to investigate the impact of green technology innovation on enterprise export product quality,and robustness checks are conducted to validate the baseline results.In consideration of the types of green technology innovation and the industry attributes of enterprise,the study explores the heterogeneous effects of green technology innovation on enterprise export product quality.As revealed by findings,green technology innovation significantly enhances enterprise export product quality.Specifically,green utility model technology innovation exerts a notable positive impact on enterprise export product quality,whereas green invention technology innovation does not exhibit a significant effect.From an industry perspective,green invention technology innovation has no significant impact on enterprise export product quality across sectors,while green utility model technology innovation significantly improves enterprise export product quality in low-pollution,low-energy-consumption industries but not in high-pollution,high-energy-consumption industries.Based on these findings,the study recommends enhancing corporate awareness and capabilities in green technology innovation,increasing policy support for green innovation-particularly for utility model innovations,and accelerating the green transformation of high-pollution,high-energy-consumption industries.By addressing a critical research gap,this study enriches the literature on green technology innovation and enterprise export product quality,and provides empirical evidence and policy recommendations to strengthen China’s international trade competitiveness and foster high-quality trade development through sustainable innovation.
