民初新文学家的“黑幕小说批判”

摘要 “黑幕小说”于民初兴起并迅速流行,但其概念却甚模糊。新文化运动中新文学家批判“黑幕小说”,对这一概念的变化及后来的文学史写作产生了深远影响。值得注意的是,虽然“黑幕小说”概念模糊,但新文学家的批判对象却十分明确。新文学家并不关心坊间以“黑幕”为噱头的“投机出版物”,而是专注于批评当时流行的作者和刊物。其目的也不是简单地将“黑幕小说”污名化,而是希望借此破旧立新,完成新文学的自我塑造,将这一批判并入“文学革命”议程中。虽其批判对象对此缄默无言,但新文学家区别人我、破旧立新的目标并未实现。为摆脱困境,新文学家改从“器”的层面展开批判,效果也不尽如人意。民初“黑幕小说批判”从侧面展现了“文学革命”的具体实施情景及其局限。 Muckraking novels rose in the early Republic of China and became popular rapidly,while its concept is relatively unclear.In the new culture movement,new literature colleagues criticized muckraking novels,which had a far-reaching impact on their conceptual change and the subsequent writing of literary history.Although the concept of muckraking novels is uncertain,the critical object of new culture movement writers is very clear.They did not care about the speculative publications,and their purpose was not simply to stigmatize muckraking novels,but to take the opportunity to complete the self-shaping of new literature and incorporate this criticism into the agenda of Literary Revolution.Though their object of criticism remained silent,the goal of new culture movement writers had not been achieved.In order to get rid of the dilemma,they shifted criticism from content to form,with limited success.This debate reveals both the context and constraints of implementing the“literary revolution”in early Republic of China.
