摘要
火星表面的复现性斜坡纹是一种呈现季节性的增长、消退和复现的低反照率线性地貌,其形成可能与现代水活动相关,对于研究火星当前的液态水活动及环境宜居性具有重要意义。本研究总结了火星复现性斜坡纹的研究现状,重点介绍了复现性斜坡纹的观测手段、形貌特征、时空分布、成因机制,并对目前存在的问题与争议进行了讨论。本研究指出,火星复现性斜坡纹时空分布规律有待进一步厘清,成因机制缺乏统一的解释,与相似地貌的类比研究有待开展。因此,有必要基于最新的高分辨率多源遥感数据进一步开展火星全球复现性斜坡纹的详细识别与分析,通过实验模拟、类比研究等手段阐明其成因机制,为火星宜居环境和生命的搜寻提供线索,为未来火星探测任务目标的确定提供支撑。
The Recurring Slope Lineae(RSL)on the Martian surface are low-albedo and linear features with seasonal increment,fade,and recurrence.Its formation is potentially linked to current liquid water activity on Mars,which has profound implications for understanding contemporary water processes and the potential habitability of Mars.This paper reviewed the research status of Martian Recurring Slope Lineae,focusing on the identification methods,morphological characteristics,spatio-temporal distribution,and proposed formation mechanisms.Recurring Slope Lineae are basically identified by the high-resolution imagery from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter's High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment(HiRISE).These features typically appear on slopes that face the equator and are characterized by their seasonal behavior:they form and darken during the warmer seasons and fade during the colder seasons.Several formation mechanisms have been proposed to explain the origin of the Recurring Slope Lineae,including“wet mechanism”,“dry mechanism”,and“mixed mechanism”.The difference between“wet mechanism”and“dry mechanism”lies in that the former involves participation of liquid water or brine,while the latter explains the formation by grainflow.The“mixed mechanism”combines the two mechanisms and suggests that a small amount of liquid water could trigger grainflow,leading to the formation of Recurring Slope Lineae.This paper also addresses the remaining issues and ongoing debates in the field.The study highlights that the temporal and spatial distribution of Recurring Slope Lineae remain to be further clarified,and no hypothesis can fully explain the formation and seasonality of them.Additionally,comparative studies involving analogues are needed.Therefore,it is essential to conduct global identification and detailed analyses of recurring slope lineae on Mars using the latest high-resolution remote sensing data from multi-source.Further,experimental simulations and analogical studies are needed to clarify the formation mechanisms.This will provide clues for the search of habitable environments and life on Mars,and support the candidates'selection for future Mars exploration missions.
