抗战后期中英关于新疆至印度陆路交通之交涉

摘要 抗战期间,中国的国际运输通道相继被日本封锁。为破此局,国民政府于1942年向英国提议开辟新疆至印度的陆路交通线。中英均有开通此线的意愿,国民政府希望借此获取抗战物资,并加强对新疆的控制;英方则希望通过此举改善与国民政府及新疆省政府的关系,恢复英印与新疆的贸易往来,维护其在新疆的利益。然而因印度一侧施工难度大、成本过高导致筑路事宜作罢。但中英就开通列城驿运线达成一致,该线是全面抗战后期新疆唯一开通运作的对外物资运输通道。在开展驿运贸易的过程中,中国与英印产生矛盾,最终在抗战结束前只运输了两批物资。中英双方希望通过新印陆路交通而实现的意图均未完全达成。 During the War of Resistance,China's international transport routes were successively blockaded by Japan,The National Government proposed to Britain in 1942 the opening of an overland transport route from Xinjiang to India.Both China and Britain had the desire to establish this route:the National Government hoped to secure wartime supplies through it and strengthen its control over Xinjiang,while the British sought to improve relations with both the National Government and the Xinjiang Provincial Government,revive trade between British India and Xinjiang,and safeguard their interests in the region.However,due to the extreme construction difficulties and prohibitive costs on the Indian side,the road-building project was abandoned.Instead,China and Britain reached an agreement to open a pack transport route via Leh,which became the only operational international supply channel for Xinjiang during the latter stages of the war.During the operation of this pack transport trade,disputes arose between China and British India,resulting in only two batches of supplies being delivered before the war ended.
