1894年7月25日,日本联合舰队偷袭清朝舰船,丰岛海战打响,中日甲午战争拉开序幕。操江轮在此一战中被日军捕获。文章运用中日两国的第一手史料,对操江轮被俘时的情状进行还原,兼论丰岛海战当时的情形。
On July 25,1894,the Japanese Combined Fleet launched a surprise attack on the Qing Dynasty's ships,initiating the Battle of Pungdo and thus kicking off the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895.Tsao Kiang,a Chinese communication ship,was captured by the Japanese during this battle.By using the first-hand historical materials from both China and Japan,this paper reconstructs the situation when Tsao Kiang was captured and also discusses the circumstances of the Battle of Pungdo at that time.
