摘要
隐喻是人类认知的基本方式,在诸多因素中,认知能力可能是影响隐喻理解和生成的主要因素,因为隐喻阐释具有认知的特点。再者,大学英语学习者的目标语言水平具有差异,直接影响语言产出的效果,因此,外语学习者隐喻理解和产出可能受语言水平高低的影响。基于上述预设,本文在隐喻能力机制指导下,旨在探讨大学英语学习者的认知能力和语言水平如何影响他们对隐喻表达的理解与产出。
Metaphor is an essential way of human cognition, and among the many factors that affect metaphorical understanding and production, cognitive ability may be the main one, as human beings' interpretation of metaphor has cognitive characteristics. Furthermore, college English learners' target language proficiency varies, directly affecting the effectiveness of language production. Therefore, EFL students' metaphorical understanding and production may be influenced by their language proficiency. Based on the above assumptions, guiding by the metaphorical competence mechanism, we aims to explore how learners' cognitive abilities and language proficiency affect their understanding and production of metaphorical expressions.
