摘要
太平缸是紫禁城消防系统的重要组成部分,有其深厚的历史。故宫博物院现存太平缸,按材质可分铜、铁两种,多数为清宫内务府所铸造、管理、使用的历史遗存,它们在造型、装饰、工艺、分布、数量等方面的特点值得深入研究。本文通过爬梳文献档案,钩稽清代宫廷在太平缸铸造、采办、运输等方面的材料及人力投入。尝试复原内务府管理、维护和利用太平缸的成套体系。文末结合历史档案、影像资料和实地调查情况,论述故宫现存太平缸现状及递变动因。
As an important part of the fire-fighting system,the water vat(Taiping vat)boasts a profound history in the Forbidden City.The existing water vats in the Palace Museum can be divided into copper and iron,most of which are historical relics forged,managed,and used by the Imperial Household Department of the Qing dynasty.Their characteristics in terms of shape,decoration,craftsmanship,distribution,and quantity are worthy of in-depth study.This paper reviews archives to examine the Qing court’s material and manpower input in the casting,procurement,and transportation of water vats.It attempts to reconstruct the comprehensive system of management,maintenance,and utilization of water vats by the Imperial Household Department.The conclusion discusses the current status and changes of the existing water vats in the Palace Museum,combining historical archives,image data,and field studies.
