1 Foreword The crises produced by the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict have starkly highlighted the critical need for scientific innovation and global cooperation.The pandemic underscored the urgency of swift,science-driven responses to worldwide health emergencies,while the war has intensified energy shortages and material scarcities,amplifying the demand for sustainable and resilient solutions.
