摘要
紧束缚电子模型是固体物理学能带理论的教学重点,面心立方晶格紧束缚电子能带结构分析则是教学难点.本文通过数值拟合,提出图示法分析面心立方晶格紧束缚电子能谱的特征.研究结果表明,面心立方晶格紧束缚电子能谱沿不同方向变化规律不同,能带底位于简约布里渊区中心,两个高能量极值点则分别位于简约布里渊区的四方面面心和六方面面心.沿简约布里渊区中心分别到四方面面心和六方面面心轴线方向,能带宽度分别为16倍和12倍交叠积分.本文的相关研究结果既可为晶体能带结构分析提供有效方法,也可为固体物理教学提供重要的理论指导.
The tight-binding electron model is the key point in the teaching of band theory in solid state physics,while the band structure analysis of tight-binding electrons in face-centered cubic lattice is a teaching difficulty.In this article,a graphical method is proposed for analyzing the energy spectrum characteristics of tightly bound electrons in a face centered cubic lattice through numerical fitting.The results show that the energy spectrum varies in different directions and the energy band bottom is located in the center of simple Brillouin zone.The two highenergy extreme points are located at the four-face center and six-face center of the reduced Brillouin zone,respectively.The band widths along simple Brillouin zone center to four-faceted and six-faceted face-centered axes are 16-fold and 12-fold overlap integral,respectively.The relevant research results can not only provide an effective method for the analysis of crystal band structure,but also provide important theoretical guidance for the teaching of solid-state physics.
