摘要
20世纪二三十年代,德国和奥地利出现了一股强劲的体育热潮,这股热潮折射了两国当时的社会思想和文化状态,因此体育本身也成为当时知识分子公共讨论的一个议题。穆齐尔将这种“体育热”现象视为时代精神自我呈现的工具,他在小说、戏剧、报刊文章等作品中对该现象做了大量观察和思考,直接或间接回应和反思了当时流行的诸种体育话语。他对公共话语中宣扬的体育的进步和解放力量持怀疑态度,反对赋予体育过多过高的价值,但他也承认个人体育运动具有一定的积极意义,只不过这种意义应以“精神”的存在为前提。
In the 1920s and 1930s,Germany and Austria experienced a strong surge in sports enthusiasm,which reflected social thoughts and cultural conditions of both countries at the time.Therefore,sports became one topic of public discussion among intellectuals.Musil viewed this sport craze phenomenon as a vehicle for self-presentation of the zeitgeist.He made a lot of observations and reflections on this phenomenon in his novels,plays,newspaper articles,and other works,responding directly or indirectly to various sport discourses prevalent at the time.He held a skeptical attitude towards the progressive and liberating role of sports as advocated in public discourse,and opposed attributing excessive and high value to sports.However,he also acknowledged that individual sports activities had a positive effect,provided that this effect was premised on the existence of“spirit”.
