摘要
Medicinal plants produce valuable compounds, but often at low concentrations. Genome editing could be used to increase the production of valuable secondary metabolites in medicinal plants. The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9(Cas9) system has emerged as a simple, widely used method for gene editing in plants.
