Aiming to lowering the society’s dependence on fossil fuels,energy catalysis stands at the forefront of technological advancement,which promises to revolutionize the way we harness,convert,and utilize renewable energy.The current special topic of our journal,titled"Advanced Energy Catalytic Materials",aims to highlight the latest innovations,challenges,and opportunities in this exciting field.

Corresponding authors:Shaojun Guo is a Boya Distinguished Professor at Peking University,and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.He received his PhD degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences(2011).He was a postdoctoral research associate at Brown University(2011-2013)and then worked as J.Robert Oppenheimer Distinguished Fellow at Los Alamos National Lab(2013-2015).He is renowned for his outstanding contribution to the interdisciplinary fields of materials chemistry for energy electrocatalysis.emails:guosj@pku.edu.cn;Corresponding authors:Yaqian Lan obtained his BS and PhD degrees from the Northeast Normal University in 2001 and 2009,respectively.Now he is a professor at the School of Chemistry,South China Normal University.His research is focused on the design and synthesis of crystalline materials(including polyoxometalates,metal-organic frameworks,and covalent organic frameworks)and their applications mainly in energy storage and conversion,such as photo-/electrocatalytic small molecule conversion(water splitting,CO_(2) reduction,and organic synthesis).emails:yqlan@m.scnu.edu.cn。
