摘要
威廉姆斯学院专注卓越本科教育,曾连续13年在美国文理学院排行榜中拔得头筹,这得益于其独特的教师发展机制。威廉姆斯学院教师发展机制以多态型组织作为教师发展基本架构,以适切型教学作为教师发展主要内容,以兼容型职业作为教师发展专业方向,以包容型教师福利作为教师个人发展保障。通过对组织发展的学科完整度、结构稳定度以及形式灵活度建设,对教学发展的教研融合、师生互动以及道技共生的关系维持,对专业发展的管理者、教学者、研究者以及服务者的身份塑造,以及对个人发展的形式多样、程序多重、价值多元的福利设置,以期为我国一流本科教育提供镜鉴。
Williams College's focus on excellence in undergraduate education,and its 13 consecutive years at the top of the list of America's liberal arts colleges,is due to its unique faculty development mechanism.Williams College's faculty development mechanism is based on a polymorphic organization as the basic structure of faculty development,appropriate teaching as the main content of faculty development,compatible careers as the professional direction of faculty development,and inclusive faculty welfare as the personal guarantee for faculty development.Through the construction of disciplinary integrity,structural stability,and formal flexibility for organizational development,the maintenance of teaching-research integration,teacher-student interaction,and ethical-technical symbiosis for pedagogical development,the shaping of identities as administrators,pedagogues,researchers,and service providers for professional development,and the establishment of welfare for personal development in the form of various forms,multiple procedures,and value pluralism,Williams College aims to provide a mirror for China's first-rate undergraduate education.
