摘要
美国大学作为具备理性多元化的社会文化组织,承载三种理性发展逻辑:一是17世纪西欧舶来的传统理性;二是20世纪本土诞生的技术理性;三是21世纪全球兴起的非理性。在集知识、思想及文化于一体的理性结构中,美国大学反复探寻并不断生成特有的历史逻辑与价值底蕴,但理性结构的不稳定往往驱使人文价值疏离于大学的本真意义之外,除了赋予大学教师承担创造价值的人文角色以外,还将其置于价值冲突的危险境遇。这源于教师群体作为生命有机体所具有的感性价值与人类历史长此以往形成的理性诫命之间的弹性张力。文章基于还原张力的历史发生逻辑,认为美国大学教师发展的危机既内生于传统理性、技术理性以及非理性的宏观嬗变下,也外显于教学发展、专业发展、组织发展以及个人发展的中观、微观冲突中,据此对理性嬗变下的价值冲突所引致的教师发展危机进行审视。
As a rational and pluralistic social and cultural organization,American universities carry three rational development log-ics:first,the traditional rationality imported from Western Europe in the 17th century;the second is the technological rationality bred in the 20th century;The third is the irrationality of the global rise in the 21st century.In the rational structure of knowledge,thought and culture,American universities have repeatedly explored and continuously generated unique historical logic and value heritage.However,the instability of the rational structure often drives humanistic values away from the true meaning of universities,and in addi-tion to giving university teachers a humanistic role in creating value,it also puts them in a dangerous situation of value conflict.This stems from the elastic tension between the sensual value of the teacher community as living organisms and the rational commandments that have been developed over time by human history.Based on the historical logic of reducing tension,this paper argues that the crisis of teacher development in American universities is not only endogenous in the macro transmutation of traditional rationality,technical rationality and irrationality,but also in the middle and micro conflicts of teaching development,professional development,organization-al development and personal development,so as to examine the crisis of teacher development caused by the value conflict under the ra-tional transmutation.
