摘要
克孜尔石窟位于新疆维吾尔自治区拜城县克孜尔乡明屋塔格的崖壁上,自西向东绵延约3公里,是我国现存开凿年代最早、地理位置最靠西的大型佛教石窟群。第189窟和190窟位于克孜尔石窟的谷东区,原本是一座开凿于公元6世纪的僧房窟,7世纪时其主室和甬道被分别改建为两座绘制有壁画的礼佛窟,它们的改建是这一时期龟兹佛教繁荣发展的缩影。两座洞窟内融合了中原大乘佛教思想与龟兹传统小乘佛教艺术的壁画,生动地向我们展现了丝绸之路背景下的文化交流与融合及其强大的生命力。
Kizil Grottoes are located on the cliff of Mingwu Tage,Baicheng County,Xinjiang Uygur Au⁃tonomous Region,stretching about 3 kilometers from west to east,which is the large Buddhist grottoes ear⁃liest dug and the most western ones in China.Cave No.189 and No.190 are located in the east district of Kizil Grottoes.They were originally a monk house cave dug in the 6th century.In the 7th century,their main chamber and corridor were transformed into two ritual caves with murals.Their reconstruction is an epitome of the prosperity and development of Qiuci Buddhism.The two caves combine the murals of the Mahayana Buddhism of the Central Plains and the Theravada Buddhist art of Qiuci style,vividly showing us the cultural exchange and integration through the Silk Road and its strong vitality.
