摘要
清光绪朝,中央政府对云南的控制力愈加式微。一方面,积重难返的内治之困--膨胀的人口、凋敝的经济、频繁的灾荒使得云南社会、经济与政治全面失序而游匪不断。另一方面,随着19世纪末越、缅两邻国被法、英实际控制,中国西南边防局势骤然生变。不断进逼的“外患”使得大量游匪流窜于中越、中缅之间频频衅乱。内外力的双重挤压与拉扯之下,云南各类匪患丛生,其负面影响已经侵入到政治、经济和社会的各个方面,成为光绪朝云南地方社会的恶疾。
During the Qing Dynasty,the central government’s control over Yunnan became increasingly weak.The expanding population,declining economy,and frequent famine have led to a comprehensive disorder in Yunnan’s society,economy,and politics,resulting in continuous banditry.What’s more,with the actual control of Vietnam and Myanmar by France and Britain at the end of the 19th century,the border situation in southwestern China suddenly changed.The constantly advancing“foreign invasion”has led to a large number of bandits fleeing between China,Vietnam,and Myanmar,causing frequent conflicts and disturbances.Under the dual pressure and pull of internal and external forces,various types of banditry were rampant in Yunnan,and their negative effects had penetrated into various aspects of politics,economy,and society,becoming a malignant disease in the local society of Yunnan during the Guangxu Dynasty.
