Research progress of exosomes in multiple sclerosis

摘要 多发性硬化(multiple sclerosis,MS)是中枢神经系统炎性自身免疫性疾病,病理过程包括外周炎性细胞损伤血脑屏障内皮细胞,导致血脑屏障通透性增加,进而导致白质脱髓鞘、炎性浸润和轴突破坏等。外泌体由各个细胞分泌,可存在于各种体液中,且含有DNA、RNA、miRNA、蛋白质等信号转导物质,不同细胞来源的外泌体所含物质不同。外泌体作为细胞和细胞之间的信号传导和信息交流物质,其中所含有的miRNA作用于免疫系统,从而对MS的发病和进展有一定的影响。本文将从外泌体在MS的发病机制、诊断及治疗等方面中的作用进行综述。 Multiple sclerosis(MS)is an inflammatory autoimmune disease of the central nervous system.Its pathological process includes that peripheral inflammatory cells damage the blood-brain barrier endothelial cells,resulting in increased blood-brain barrier permeability,white matter demyelination,inflammatory infiltration and axonal destruction.Exosomes,secreted by different kinds of cells,are present in various body fluids.They contain signaling molecules such as DNA,RNA,miRNA and proteins.The contents of exosomes derived from different cell sources vary.Exosomes serve as mediators of cell-to-cell signaling and information exchange.Among the substances they contained,miRNA plays a role in the immune system.Therefore,it could influence the onset and progression of MS.The roles of exosomes in the pathological of multiple sclerosis and potential diagnostic and therapeutic values are being reviewed in this article.
