摘要
2021年,无疑是加拿大族裔文学获得显著突破的一年。无论是弘扬国家文学的总督文学奖,还是旨在推出“叫好又卖座”文学作品的吉勒奖,抑或是主推新兴作家的阿特伍德·吉布森作家信托基金小说奖,都不约而同地将目光投向展现加拿大少数族裔生活现实的文学作品,成就了一次加拿大族裔文学的盛宴。加拿大族裔文学的异军突起,既体现出不同族裔作家的集体发力,也和2021年加拿大的社会发展和公共事件有关,既反映出社会不同阶层对少数族裔生活的密切关注,又折射出族裔政治在加拿大文化生活中的微妙影响。
2021 was undoubtedly a year that witnessed a significant breakthrough for Canadian ethnic minority literature.The Governor General’s Literary Awards,known for promoting national literature,Scotiabank Giller Prize,famous for launching“acclaimed and popular”literary works,and the Atwood Gibson Writers’Trust Fiction Prize,aiming to promote emerging literary talents,all favored the literary pieces about the life reality of ethnic minorities in Canada,thus creating a feast for Canadian ethnic minority literature.The sudden rise of Canadian ethnic minority literature not only reflects the collective strength of writers from different ethnic groups,but also relates to the social development and public events in Canada in 2021.It not only reveals the Canadian society’s close attention to the lives of ethnic minorities,but also reflects the subtle influence of ethnic politics over Canada’s cultural sphere.
