Objective To explore the effect of ultrasound-guided abdominal puncture in the treatment of periappendiceal abscess. Methods A total of 80 patients with periappendiceal abscess admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to January 2021 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into control group and observation group by double-blind method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional anti-infective therapy, and the observation group was treated with ultrasound-guided abdominal puncture, the clinical efficacy, treatment indicators and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 95.00%,which was higher than 80.00%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The recovery time of body temperature, the recovery time of hemogram, the disappearance time of abdominal pain and the hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups. Conclusion Ultrasound-guided abdominal puncture is effective in the treatment of periappendiceal abscess,it can promote the improvement of patients'signs, shorten the hospitalization time, and has high safety,it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
