Preface to Special Issue on Electrocatalysis and Electrosynthesis

摘要 电催化作为纳米材料、能源化学和环境保护等领域的研究热点,是发展可持续清洁能源技术的基础学科,在反应过程中涉及到物质转化和能量转化及其普适规律。电合成是在电催化基础上与有机合成和化学工程等学科进行交叉,形成一门“古老的方法、崭新的技术”的交叉学科,在可再生能源和温和条件下高效高选择性地合成有机化学品。随着科学快速发展,电催化与电合成借助于各种新兴技术(如同步辐射光源、超级计算机、微纳/显微)取得了卓著的成果,对催化活性位点的设计、催化机理的理解、电子/离子的传输及其与物质分子的相互作用等均有深入发展。 As a research hotspot of the fields of nanomaterials,energy chemistry and environmental protection,electrocatalysis is a fundamental subject for developing the sustainable and clean energy technology.During the process,electrocatalysis involves the transformation between electric energy and chemical materials.On basis of the electrocatalysis,electrosynthesis is an interdisciplinary subject by integrating the subjects of organic synthesis and chemical engineering,which is called as the subject of“old method,new technology”.Electrosynthesis can efficiently and selectively realize the synthesis of organic chemicals under mild conditions driven by sustainable energy sources.

作者简介 程方益,Research Interests:Prof.Cheng's research interests encompass the design,preparation,mechanistic understanding and applications of energy materials,with focus on nonstoichiometric electrode materials for electrocatalysis(hydrogen evolution,oxygen reduction/evolution),and rechargeable batteries.His group is also dedicated to industrial collaboration in the development of advanced materials such as core-shell structured transition metal oxides and formulated electrolytes to improve the performances of Li-ion batteries and water electrolysis devices.Prof.Cheng has co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed journal papers with more than 30000 citations(Hindex 85).He is among Elsevier Highly Cited Chinese Researchers and Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers.He serves as Executive Associate Editor of eScience,associate editor of Research,and editorial board members for several journals.Admission Information:Recruit per 1e2 master students and 2 PhD students per year.Poster doctors and research assistants are welcome.Background in electrochemistry and energy materials is preferred.Contact:College of Chemistry,Nankai University,Tel:(86-22)23497717,E-mail:fycheng@nankai.edu.cn;王双印,Prof.Shuangyin Wang obtained his Ph.D.from Nanyang Technological University,Singapore,and subsequently held Research Associate/Postdoc Research Fellow positions in the Case Western Reserve University,USA,and University of Texas at Austin,USA.He held the Marie Curie Fellow in the University of Manchester,UK and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.He is selected as highly cited researchers at 2019e2022 by Clarivate Analytics.His current research interests are advanced electro-catalysis and electrosynthesis,including the design of defect chemistry in the electrocatalysts,efficient organic synthesis by electrocatalysis,and novel devices for energy conversion.His h-index is over 100 now.He is the Associate Editor of Energy&Environ.Mater,and the Section Editor of J.Energy.Chem.He is sitting on the advisory board of Acta Phys.-Chim.Sin.,J.electrochem.,Chinese J.Catal.,Chem.Commun.,and so on.He held the Key R&D Program of China and National Natural Science Foundation of China.He has won the first prize of Natural Science of Hunan Province of China and the Young Scientist Award of the Ministry of Education.Research Interests:Defect Chemistry of Electrocatalysts,Electro-chemical Organic Synthesis,Fuel Cells.Admission Information:Hunan University.Tel:(86-736)88821076,E-mail:shuangyinwang@hnu.edu.cn;周天华,Research Interests:Tianhua Zhou,PhD,is a Professor of Chemistry at the Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter,Chinese Academy of Sciences.His research interests encompass the structural chemistry of bio-inspired catalysis,with focus on well-defined metal-organic frameworks and metalorganic cages for photo-and electro-catalysis(CO_(2) reduction,hydrogen evolution,oxygen electrochemistry).He has co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed journal papers.Dr.Zhou serves as Executive Editor of Chinese Journal of Structural Chemistry.Admission Information:Recruit per 1e2 master students and 1 PhD students per year.Poster doctors and research assistants are welcome.Background in organic chemistry and physical chemistry is preferred.Contact:Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Tel:(86)13599434968,E-mail:thzhou@fjirsm.ac.cn。
