摘要
目的回顧分析兒童早期預警評分(PEWS)的分級反應策略在兒科普通病房之應用價值。方法選取2019年收治本院兒科普通病房共1746人,按PEWS評分0~3分為觀察組,≥4分為干預組。干預組按新西蘭威靈噸公共衛生部門的PEWS分級反應策略進行干預。比較兩組之ICU入住率,住院時間。結果干預組在ICU入住率,住院時間上均明顯高於觀察組(P<0.05)。結論PEWS分級反應策略能對疾病嚴重程度作出早期識別,以便提供合適的干預措施。亦為管理者提供了不同的管理視角,讓前線人員更有焦點處理重點病人。
Objective To study the value of Pediatric Early Warning Score(PEWS)and graded response strategy in patient care of the pediatric general ward.Methods A review of 1746 patients who were admitted to pediatric general ward in 2019.According to PEWS scores 0-3,they were divided into observation groups and≥4 into intervention groups.In the intervention group,patients were managed according to the graded response strategy of Capital&Coast District Health Board.The differences in the rates of ICU transfer and average hospital stay were analyzed.Results The differences in the rates of ICU transfer and the average hospital stay of the intervention group were significantly higher than those of the observation group(P<0.05).Conclusion The graded response strategy based on PEWS has good value in caring for pediatric general ward patients and is a good tool for reducing in ward safety management.
